Michael runs Healy Technologies, a technology investment company focused on social change and positive impact through education, entrepreneurship and empowering individuals.
Michael comes from a technical background, a self-taught full-stack developer for web and mobile(Android and iPhone). He has digital and print design experience, along with video production skills which complements his technical product development expertises in building useful products.
Michael has built several successful businesses with exits ranging from platforms such as Chatride, an encrypted peer-to-peer video conferencing technology, Ratemash, previously one of the largest student social network in the UK, the Android app for Wikileaks and many niche mobile products used by millions of users around the world.
Alongside starting and growing businesses, Michael has served as an advisor and worked on projects for startups, investors and corporates in Asia, Europe, USA and Latin America. He was a finalist of the Thiel Fellowship by Peter Thiel(PayPal/Palantir founder and Facebook first Investor). He was also awarded the Silver medal in the Mathematics Olympiad.
Michael has served as Entrepreneur-in-residence at top pan-European Venture Capital firm, Wellington partners(€800 million under management) and has done work for Google, KPMG, Founders Forum, Saatchi & Saatchi, L’Oreal, Imperial College, Unilever, London Business School and others.
Michael is Singaporean, Irish and British. He enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures, having lived in Singapore, London, New York City, Shanghai and looks forward to live, travel and work in more places in the future.
Inspired by creative and passionate people, Michael enjoys travelling around the world too. With interests in Technology, Startups, Philosophy and AI, he relaxes Snowboarding, Skiing, Yoga, Running and the occasional Triathlon.
